CS in the Clubhouse is the blog of Dave Kiesel-Nield, Americorps VISTA with Code Corps.
I am working in partnership with Google and Boys & Girls Clubs of America to deliver Google's Computer Science First program to the Clubhouses here in Portland, Oregon. My mission also includes building the capacity of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland to deliver this and other technical programs through the education and training of staff, construction and maintenance of a robust volunteering system, and improvements to our technological infrastructure.
This blog records my observations and experiences as I learn the ins and outs of nonprofit project and volunteer management as well as the needs of CS First in the Club environment.
